Signing a memorandum of cooperation between the Iranian Documentary Filmmakers Association and the Kiarostami Foundation
IRDFA’s public relations announced the signing of a memorandum of understating to expand spaces for documentaries screening and distribution.
This agreement will generally help Iranian documentaries to be seen furthermore.
The Docunet platform, a Kiarostami Foundation‘s subsidiary, is the space that, according to the agreement, along with other spaces outside of Iran, will legally broadcast Iranian documentaries. Holding joint documentary cinema events inside and outside Iran along with generating interaction atmosphere between Iranian and foreign documentarians is one of the most important provisions of this memo.
As a starting point of in this memorandum, Kiarostami Foundation and Documentaries Association will collaborate in “the Corona and Me” festival.
Milad Khaleghi Manesh and Ahmad Kiarostami, on behalf of both parties’ Board of Directors signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
Ahmed Kiarostami, along with prominent figures such as Alejandro Iñarritu, Richard Linklater, Peter Becker, Marin Karmitz and Tom Luddy, are board of directors’ members of Kiarostami Foundation.
