The Documentary Filmmakers Association recognized its new board of directors and inspector

The annual general meeting of the Iranian Documentary Filmmakers Association was held last night, August 4, 2019, with the agenda of electing the board of directors and the new inspector of the Association.

According to attendees’ votes, the meeting was chaired by Mojtaba Mirtahmasb accompanied by Nahid Rezaei and Parisa Shahandeh.

At the beginning of this meeting and after presenting board of directors’ performance and financial reports along with inspector’s statement, they were approved by the vast majority of documentary filmmakers assembly’s attendees’ votes.

Up next and after discussing and studding the opinions, the remuneration of the board of directors’ meetings and the inspector was determined by the assembly.

In the end, the association’s election of the board of directors and the inspector was held and after presenting candidates’ opinions and programs, opponents and supporters, voting took place among the attendees which accordingly Messrs. and Mmes:

Milad Khaleghi Manesh and Shamim Mostaghimi together with 66 votes

Rezvan Sarmad, 53 votes

Zohreh Arsanjoon, 50 votes

Morteza Payeh Shenas, 49 votes

Were elected as the main members of the board of directors and gentlemen:

Mohammad Sam Asadi with 26 votes and

Meysam Shahebabaee were elected as an alternate members of the board with 12 votes.

Also, Mr. Amin Ghadami was elected as the main inspector with 40 votes and Mr. Pirooz Kalantari, with 27 votes was elected as the alternate inspector of the Documentary Fimmakers Association.

It is worth mentioning that the Documentary Filmmakers Assosiation, as the oldest union of documentary filmmakers in Iran, which was established and started in 1997, continue its activities outside the Cinema House from June 2017 and after occurred disagreements and issues with Cinema House’s directors.
